Provisional Sentence Summons – Magistrates’ Court – Form 2A of Annexure 1 of the Magistrates’ Court Rules

Service of any process of the court directed to the sheriff and any documents initiating application proceedings must be effected by the sheriff , an acting sheriff or a deputy sheriff. If the person to be served is already represented by an attorney of record, the documents may be served upon that attorney by the party initiating the proceedings or by the sheriff.
